International Journal of Neuropsychopharmacology
Official Journal of the Collegium Internationale Neuropsychopharmacologicum
The International Journal of Neuropsychopharmacology (IJNP) is the official scientific journal of the CINP. IJNP serves as a major forum for the rapid publication and wide dissemination of high quality, influential research in neuropsychopharmacology in the basic and clinic domains. IJNP’s 2005 Impact Factor was 3.98 ranking it 15th out of 94 journals in psychiatry.
The central focus of the journal is on research that advances understanding of existing and new neuropsychopharmacological agents including their mode of action and clinical application or provides insights into the biological basis of psychiatric disorders and thereby advances their pharmacological treatment. Such research may derive from the full spectrum of biological and psychological fields of inquiry encompassing classical and novel techniques in neuropsychopharmacology as well as strategies such as neuroimaging, genetics, psychoneuroendocrinology and neuropsychology.
Emphasis is given to original research (in the form of full-length papers and brief reports), which is of wide interest and clearly advances the field. Selected review articles and papers that highlight novel trends and perspectives are also considered.
