CINP organises a variety of different meetings in line with its key objectives of furthering research, education and improving clinical care.

Its major meetings are:

Biennial International Congresses

Leading edge meetings of major impact. These are large international meetings held in major cities around the world. They provide a forum for the presentation of the latest findings in neuropsychopharmacology and allow the world’s leading scientists and clinicians to exchange ideas and information. They include plenary lectures, cutting edge scientific symposia, poster sessions and educational and scientific workshops. These are acknowledged to be among the very highest quality scientific programmes in this field. They have delegates from all around the world and an excellent mixture of clinicians and basic scientists from all backgrounds.

International Thematic Meetings

These are an innovative and exciting new format of CINP meeting which begins in 2009. They are international in scope with a mixture of scientific symposia and a significant number of education sessions. They are focused on a single theme and concentrate on specific topics while also incorporating educational and professional development in addition to research sessions. They are expected to be considerably more intimate than the major biennial international congress and provide an optimal environment for the sharing and exchange of knowledge and ideas.

Munich 2008 – our next major CINP International Congress is in Munich 13th to 17th July 2008. This is going to be a very special congress with an outstanding scientific programme where we will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of CINP.  Please click here for the final announcement and call for papers. Hong Kong 2010 – the 2010 CINP International Congress will be held in Hong Kong, Sunday 6th to Thursday 10th June. This will be the next great CINP congress and will provide an excellent opportunity to reinforce the unique global responsibilities of CINP. International Thematic Meetings

Edinburgh 2009 – our first international thematic meeting will be held in Edinburgh April 25th to 27th 2009. The theme for this meeting is “Major Psychoses and Substance Abuse”. This will be a new and exciting sort of CINP meeting.
